Sunriver Games and Funagain Games Announce Distribution Partnership for 24/7

Portland, Ore., Jan. 23 – Sunriver Games LLC and Funagain Games today announced that they have entered into an exclusive distribution partnership for 24/7 the Game, designed by Carey Grayson.

Funagain Games will distribute 24/7 and it will be available exclusively through Funagain Games and the FRED network of retailers. This arrangement allows Sunriver Games to focus on developing and publishing the other games in its pipeline and allows Funagain Games to focus on game sales and distribution.

24/7 the Game is played on a 7×7 space board with domino-like tiles. Your goal is to score combinations of numbered tiles which add up to 7 and 24, and form runs and sets. 24/7 made its world-wide debut in October 2006 at the Essen Spiel convention in Germany. Good news! We know many of you have been waiting for availability of Havoc: the Hundred Years War since it went out of stock at Funagain Games. As of today, Havoc is back in stock at Funagain. There aren’t many left in the first print run so now is the time to order the game. There are currently no concrete plans for a second print run, though we are considering options for a 2nd edition in 2007.

Also, we should see copies of 24/7:the Game arriving at Funagain any day. They are taking pre-orders right now.

Sunriver Games Acquires New Classic Games; Publishes 24/7 The Game

PORTLAND, Ore. – August 21 – Sunriver Games LLC today announced the acquisition of New Classic Games. Financial terms of this transaction were not released.

This purchase provides Sunriver Games with the entire inventory of the award-winning board game Abagio. Carey Grayson, owner of New Classic Games, will join the Sunriver Games management team.

“While we are pleased to add Abagio to our inventory, we are even more excited to add Carey to our team,” says Chris Brooks of Sunriver Games. “Carey is an innovative game designer and we are eager to develop and publish his first title, 24/7 The Game.” Grayson, an artist and game designer, lives with his wife, Linda, on the Oregon Coast. He started designing games 25 years ago to occupy their three children on Family Fun Night. 24/7 is his first published game.

Funagain Games and Sunriver Games to Release Incan Gold

PORTLAND, Ore., – July 21 – Sunriver Games LLC and Funagain Games today announced that they have entered into an agreement for the manufacture and exclusive distribution of Incan Gold.

Incan Gold is a new American version of the popular game, Diamant, published in Europe last year by Schmidt Spiele and designed by Alan R. Moon and Bruno Faidutti.

Diamant is a game of luck – do you continue your journey into the lost diamond mines of King Solomon in search of more treasure, chancing hazards along the way, or do you escape back to base camp and safety. Incan Gold continues your expedition – this time into ruined temples in Peru in search of Incan artifacts and riches of gold, obsidian and turquoise.

Incan Gold will be available in the fall of 2006 at a suggested retail price of $19.95.

Portland, Ore., Oct. 7 – Sunriver Games LLC and Funagain Games today announced that they have entered into an exclusive distribution partnership for HAVOC: The Hundred Years War, designed by KC Humphrey.

This agreement will allow Funagain Games to bring the HAVOC to the world and allow Sunriver Games to focus on developing and publishing the other games in its pipeline. HAVOC is a card game for two to six players themed on the medieval Hundred Years War. HAVOC can be played in about an hour. Players recruit soldiers to form sets that are use in battles to win victory points. The Dogs of War are used to retrieve weapons from the battlefield or to draw extra resources. After eight conflicts, a final battle ends the game and crowns a new king based on total victory points.

Rules are available in English, German, French, and Dutch on the Sunriver website – www.sunrivergames.com.
